Skanska USA, the American arm of the Sweden-based contractor and developer, has announced a slew of new projects. They are:
On Jan. 10, Skanska announced it had won the $480 million contract to build a new Jamaica Bus Depot. The project includes a LEED-certified depot and accompanying administrative building, according to a release.
The project is part of New York City’s goals to transition to a 100% electric bus fleet. Construction — which begins this month and is expected to end in late 2026 — will include the demolition of the existing Jamaica Bus Depot.
