Drivers in Louisville, Kentucky should brace themselves for more lane closures on the Sherman Minton Bridge, as part of the ongoing construction.
The right lane on both sides were blocked starting Thursday night at 9 P.M., including the on-ramp from West Spring Street. Everything re-opened by Friday morning, just in time for people’s morning commutes.
This is part of a project to extend the bridge’s life. Originally started in 2021, the construction schedule is slated to last until 2023, when the rehabilitation project on the bridge should be completed. The project is a multi-phase project, and the low-impact approach they are taking is to minimize the impacts the construction has on commuters.
