Daechang Seat Co. is planning to construct a new metal automotive seat frames manufacturing plant on a 22-acre site at the Phenix Industrial Park in Phenix City. The project scope includes construction of a 200,000-sq-ft building; installation of stamping presses and molding, bending, arc and spot welding assembly and inspection equipment. Marshall Design-Build LLC has been selected to provide design-build services for the building. Site preparation is underway; building construction is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2022.
