Pulse: Southeast Construction Bids for June 2022

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking bidders to construct the Central Everglades Planning Project Everglades Agricultural Area Reservoir foundation and cutoff wall in Palm Beach County. The work includes clearing, grubbing, demucking, blasting, foundation preparation, installation of a seepage cutoff wall and canal backfilling to prepare 15.3 miles of foundation for a 17.3-mile-long embankment dam that will be constructed under separate contract. The approximate toe-to-toe width of the foundation is 260 ft in the north, east and west and 235 ft in the south. Dewatering will be required to control the groundwater and conduct work in the dry.
